Guest Blogger- The Sullenger's

Today I am honored to be a guest blogger on Ashely Sullenger's blog.
Ashley is an Angel Mom who lost her sweet little Preslee three years ago.
She has been so kind to reach out to me in times of need and she has helped offer new perspectives to my aching heart while simultaneously understanding my unspoken pain.
I now belong to a unique and difficult club of child loss with these Angel Moms.
It's not a club I wanted to ever be a part of, but one that I am
honored to be friends with such amazing people.
I'm so grateful for each one of them and for their strength, example and love.

  2. just read your sweet story from the Sullengers. While I have no idea what it's like to lose a child, I do understand the pain of losing a spouse. I lost my husband very unexpectedly on Oct 5, 2011 and it's been the hardest trial of my life. I am recently remarried and learning to create new normals for my boys and me. I agree with the judgement part. I didn't consider myself super judgemental before jason's death but since then, I'm much more aware that everyone has a "story" and a hardship and every responds and reacts differently. There is no "right" way to grieve. Praying for your sweet family!!

  3. Beautiful post. Please know that you have been added to my prayer list as I remember back to that first year after our own sweet daughter passed. The pain........it never ceases but we somehow, someway, by the grace of almighty God, we do become stronger and better able to carry the load of sorrow that has been placed upon us. We are fast approaching the anniversary of our Laynee's accident and death (Labor Day). My greatest prayer for you and your's is that you can rest in the hope that we have of heaven and that while you are here, without Miles, you can learn to allow sorrow and joy to coexist.
